Dealership parts pricing?
Looking to do a job this weekend and need a substantial list of OEM parts. Tired of the hassle of dealing with shipping and stock on items from my usual internet based sources. Not opposed to driving to get the items. Can anyone tell me which NJ dealer has the best pricing and/or gives the best CCA discount? I would prefer to patronize a club sponsor if at all possible.
Thanks

It's worth reiterating that it's not just the discount but also the list price. Not all dealers charge MSRP for all items.
FWIW, when I was rebuilding my M3 I faxed/emailed a list of all the part numbers I needed to dealers in our area (and a few outside NJ that offered good discounts) and let them compete on price.
It was also interesting that no one vendor was cheapest across the board, and that individual part numbers varied by over 100% at times.

Circle BMW comes through for me again. Parts pricing with our CCA discount is only 8-10% higher than Tischer and they blew away three other local dealers I checked pricing with. Circle had everything I need in stock. I am really amazed at the huge disparity in pricing between dealerships. I know where I will be going from now on.

Even though I don't live near Circle BMW anymore, I do all my parts purchasing through them. They really have great customer service, and even if pricing may not be the best, they more than make up for it via lack of shipping expenses and the fact that they will do their best to get what you need.jnscaldwell wrote:Circle BMW comes through for me again. This is one of those cases where I'm happy paying the slight premium for service that is second to none.

I realize I'm catching this post a little late. For what it's worth to our North Jersey club members, BMW of Roxbury has provided me a huge savings. Very often they'll sell me the part for just barely over cost. It probably helps that I usually talk with the same person. The discount is usually 20% at a minimum or better.

I agree. They are about 40 minutes for me each way. BUT, the service is great, very accurate, and friendly. Totally the best and well worth the trip. Plus, I get to give Tim M. a hard time if he's working when I go to pick up parts. That alone is worth the trips38junkie wrote:I'll drive 120 miles roundtrip to buy parts from Circle. Fwiw I have had luck getting Internet prices with local pickup at Morristown BMW, no extra CCA discount but often it is better than with our discount. The prices usually match Tischer from what I have seen

I'm going to amend this to say: only worth the trip if you give Tim a hard time. Getting discounted parts is just a bonus.jnscaldwell wrote:I agree. They are about 40 minutes for me each way.
