There will be a BMW car corral on Sat and Monday. This year, the "Sunday in the Park" auto show event is being expanded to include "club" attendance, so that your if your car is not at a "concourse" level of finish, you can still get onto the pavement for the Sunday show, and be judged from among the club participants. The organizers hope to fill the entire length of the Lime Rock track with cars in grouping by marque.

I believe Paul means Labor Day weekend which is the weekend after next. If the weather cooperates I'll be there on monday for the races. Cya there.

BTW, the Glens vintage fest is the weekend after limeys. Lookin forward to checking out vintage racing at Thunderbolt this year for the first time. That one is in Oct.

Thanks again for coordinating the BMW Corral! You did a very fine job and the event was just spectacular. It is amazing and inspiring to see these guys race such old and valuable cars instead of letting them sleep in their garages or in a museum!!

I also sent you a few pics I took yesterday (I did not manage to attach them to this post). Enjoy!

You're welcome. It was a great turnout. I would guess about 75-80 BMW's showed up in the car corral. There were some really nice BMWs there. I will try to post some pictures soon.

Great to see a good turn out of BMW's on Monday, not many e30's tho. I think we were out numbered by the 2002's

.
I ran into Mr. Barber and thanked him for the show and he said he was real thankful for the weather and that he really needed it, and had this relieved look on his face.

Seeing that 1939 w154 Benz f1 car run made the day for me, awesome.

Looking forward to the Glen next weekend.
