My 2013 F25 X3 at 89K now has a Passenger SRS System error. Morristown BMW just informed me that it needs a new passenger airbag at $1,800! It just doesn't seem right to have to replace such a vital part at this point, plus my research is showing that there are a number of reasons why this 'error' can pop up, and it's not usually the actual airbag, e.g. (1) Passenger Occupancy Sensor, (2) Defective/Under-Voltage Battery, (3) Faulty seat belt buckle, (4) seat belt pre-tenshioner, (5) Seat sensor wiring harness damage, ...
I also filed a case at NHTSA.GOV.
I'm hoping someone in the club can provide me with some helpful advice. Thanks! Art
