For Sale 2001 BMW M5 - PM me for details $13,500

Selling my 2001 M5. 125,XXX miles. Carbon Black on That Caramel Color interior. Interior needs redye. The seats are the scariest part of the car. The interior looks more like Nick Nolte than Scarlett Johansson. Carfax shows 1 accident where car rolled into parked car. Replaced parts verify that. Runs REALLY REALLY GREAT, no unusual noises from Vanos, etc. Trans and Clutch are solid. Suspension needs nothing. All ball joints are good front and rear. Shocks firm. Rear sway bar mounts new and good. I just perfomed oil and filter change, brake fluid service and new front Pads, Rotors, and Sensor. Passed NJ state inspection. Good till 2016. 2001 M5 is exempt from OBD inspection in NJ, so that is HUGE because car will set secondary air faults, but thats it and its not often. New Cluster. All pixels are good. Has new Blizzak LM tires on it. Wheels are poopy looking, but straight with no shimmy. Needs new foglights (will be included). No door dings and very clean. Front bumper cover met up with parking blocks way too much. Could be repaired, but most likely needs replace. Rotational noise coming from either Diff or Center Bearing... I am having difficulty confirming exactly where it is coming from. Assume it is the diff. If it turns out to be center bearing, that is great for new owner! Headlights need polishing (Sylvania makes an awesome kit to do it. Best rated and available at Amazon). Clean NJ title. No rust issues. This is an awesome car that drives really well. All electronics work (nav, stereo). Has built in front and rear radar. I would rather offer and sell to someone in the CCA. PM me for pics and more info. Available to drive in Red Bank area. Tim

This particular car is actually not for sale anymore..

Given the choice between a 2001 and 2003, I would surely go with the 2003. All in all, for a car that is now 15 years old, they have held up well. Check out the new Road and Track comparison against the new Chevy. - Tim
