Another new club member?

Post by alken »

My brother is very close to purchasing an '06 Z4 3.0, CPO, low mileage. Aside from being jealous, I'm excited to help induct another club member into the all-enveloping BMW lifestyle.

I'd like to help him find a set of winter wheels and tires. If anyone knows of a set available, please email me - ken@bimmertools.com

Thanks!

Ken

I saw the title and thought you were having more offspring.

No, no... not anytime too soon... I can see the confusion.

But it's a good excuse to post a pic of my little BMW fan:

Ken,

Tirerack has really good packages for winter tires & wheels. Since they come mounted and balanced you can't go wrong there.

Thanks, Mark - I actually put together a whee/tire package on TireRack's site last night for $700 shipped.

No problem with 16" rims on the stock Z4, correct?

I'm not sure. I think the sport package may have bigger brakes. I would see what is currently on the car to be sure.

all the Z4 3.0 regardless of sport or not got 300mm rotors... think the 2.5L had 285-290mm disks.

depending on design, there may be 16in wheels that may clear..think that something the pros at tirerack can answer..

And Ken..your kid looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Thanks Ray!

They list a few 16" wheel options, so I'm assuming they'd be good. I'll double check with them before he orders though.
