Need info about power steering fluid for a 2001 740iL. The top of the reservoir says "ATF only". What exactly should I use?

off the shelf Dextron II/III automatic transmission fluid is what you can use. DO NOT USE POWER STEERING FLUID,that is found in most domestic cars..

Yep, like it says, regular ATF has worked in my '97 740iL for, oh, the past 10 years I've had it

$3 for a quart at Wal-Mart, if that.

Check for leaky lines tho, we replace a lot of them!
