E-34 door rust

I think I posted this in the classifieds yesterday by mistake.

My E-34 is developing rust spots at the bottom of the front doors. The 1-2 body shops I've visited suggest leaving a blank check to dig out the rot, or alternatively, new/used doors. The rot doesn't look that bad, but I'm not an expert. I'm trying to keep this down to a low roar as any significant $$ would approach a significant % of the car's value ($8K book?). Perhaps (fix and) sell is an option.

Anyone suggest a remedy?

* Any body shops that you specifically recommend? (N NJ)

* Where can I get a reasonablly priced used / junk yard door?
