Help Pat save Kids with cancer!!!

Post by pnosker »

Hey guys!

I and several hundred others at Rutgers University helped raise $323,717.90 last year for the Embrace Kids foundation-- a foundation who helps families with children diagnosed with cancer (often terminal). I interviewed for the position of captain and got it so my duty this year will be to both dance for all 32 hours as well as help run the event and solicit donations. I would like for us to break half a million this year and am working my hardest to hit my own goal of $3500. Last year my goal was $1000 and I hit over $700. I know it's optimistic, but if every member of this site donated $2 I would easily hit it. It's easy too-- All you have to do is enter your credit card information in and an amount. Every little bit helps! Employers will MATCH this donation so if you work for a company that can do this, please let me know and I will help you set that up.

As always, donations to this and other 501c non-profits is TAX DEDUCTABLE!

Please try to help out. If you skip out on one starbucks coffee each week, you could help donate $20 this year. Please look deep down inside and see if you could help me try to help the world.

As a side note, my experience with DM last year has driven me to go into the field of cancer research. I am now working with a renowned molecular biologist here at Rutgers and am working on an anti cancer project of my own!
