Re: E30 Mystery hose?

Thanks viewers, I removed the throttle body, and was able to see a brass fitting on the bottom side of
the base. Attached the hose, buttoned up everything. Now it's running great, smooth idle, lots more power.

E30 Mystery hose?

Hi, I removed the intake manifold on my 1990 E30 to clean it, and disconnected all the hoses and wires, connectors, etc. I reconnected everything but this one hose, that starts on the charcoal canister, and runs upward toward the throttle body. I can't find a place to connect it. See the photo. Can ...

Re: Misc parts for E21 and E30

Hi Vic, If you have any bumper trim, the horizontal piece above the front bumper (mine is a 1990), I'd like it, if it's not cracked. I'm interested in the seats too: if the hinges and backrest adjustments work. do you have seat tracks? How much do you want for them? Thanks, Ray Lynch 201 768 9530 or...

Re: E30 Radio repair?

Thanks,Tim, I'll try that first. Alex, I checked Ebay: E30 radios are $380. plus shipping, from Bulgaria! I don't trust junkyard radios, so I'll keep looking. Mark: Thanks for your offer, but I don't want to invest in a radio even older than mine. I'll try a self repair, or buy a cheap new one, unti...

E30 Radio repair?

Can anyone recommend a shop to repair the radio in my '90
325i? It "screeches", usually on rainy days. I'd like to keep
the original radio, not change it. Thanks,

Re: Steering wheel cover?

There are big differences between Wheelskins, and the RedlineGoods cover sold by UUC. In price: Wheelskins are available on Ebay for $50. The UUC cover is over $150. In fit, and appearance, the UUC cover is the only one close to original; it covers the spokes, and thumb rests. I installed one From R...

I'm usually off on Wed. or Fri. If I get a clear Monday, I'll let you know.
If a Wed or Fri works, keep me posted.

Bear Mt., Harriman Park

JT, Let me know if you want to tour Bear Mt./ Harriman Park sometime. I'm in Norwood, about 1/2 hour south of the Park, and spent years riding my bikes through there (no bikes now). The park roads have great curves, lots of tight winding, climbing and diving turns. Good fun, if the road is empty. Bu...

European delivery

Ihave taken European delivery twice: in 1997 through Wide World BMW in Nanuet, NY; and in 2007, through Tenafly BMW, with saleswoman Rikki Shamen. Rikki made the process easier than most regular dealer deliveries. The prices were spelled out clearly, as soon as I picked the model (335i coupe) and th...

Need a Hi Performance VW mechanic

Can anyone recommend a mechanic experienced with Weber carbs on High
Performance VWs? I have a friend with a high quality 356 replica who needs some fine tuning on his Webers.
Thanks,
Ray

Z car "CruiZe weekend"?

Does anyone know about an event for Z cars in the Catskills, run by Erwin Farnett? There was a letter to the editor in the Agust 2011 Roundel by Fred Parmenter from Massachusetts, praising the event, but I can't find any info through a search of the Roundel, the NJ or NY sites. If you have any info,...
