1987 911 Targa Acceptable?

I've done a search but couldn't find an answer. Would a 1987 Porsche 911 Targa with the top on be acceptable at the track for NJ BMW DE events?

Many thanks,
Jim.

Novice Group Full at Shenandoah

FYI, to save anyone else trying to make last second trip plans, tech inspections, etc., I've been informed Novice group is full due to lack of instructors. :( I am simply amazed! What could be more adreneline inducing that riding shotgun in a car with me? Who could resist such an opportuni...

Cool Car, bad song

"dat da da, da, da ta da da tada, it's electric". Aggh, my aching head, get it out.

I'd laugh but I thought I remember reading about some of these going to California. How'd one end up in Morristown?

Re: Thanks for the great year!

I'm actually curious myself, as I might very well end up getting an '09 335i next year, as to what to do for autoxing. -Chris You might want to wait for the '10 model year as rumors are that that is when the Dynamic Performance Control will make it to the 3'xi Arghh, integrated internet access and ...

Re: Thanks for the great year!

Do you know if your car has the E-differentials? http://www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/technology/technology_guide/articles/automatic_differential_brake.html?source=index&article=automatic_differential_brake Check your owners manual too. As I read it the "E-diff" (ADB-X) is simply applying braking to ...

Thanks for the great year!

With regards to xi vs i -- i would think that a well set up RWD 335i would be faster than an AWD variant, no? From what I've read this should be true although, I have to be honest, I was really hoping for at least one damp event day for a chance at FTD.  Judging from past events, th...

Ditto

Spend the $$ on the nut behind the wheel. Best improvement you can do. Try a High Performance Driver Education event. Or spend time going to as many Autox's as you can. http://www.MyTrackSchedule.com -Scott Yep, I'm definitely trying to do as many autox's as possible this summer. Track HPDE's are s...

Working at section 1 during the day I noticed that leaving the figure 8, going clockwise was making everyone do a tight slalom. Looking at a handful of people go counter clockwise, leaving the figure 8 looked smoother. So thinking about it some more, it was: Entering the figure 8 faster and leaving...

Thanks for the great day!

Just wanted to thank everyone that made yesterday's run a blast to be at! Also, thanks to "the Kids" for another great lunch! On a sadder note, I regret to inform you that my day of perfection ended abruptly on my last run where I somehow managed not to endanger any cones and got a clean run (thanks...

Ultimately, it's your decision

Here's another opinion I found: http://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php?s=f6a97679a5705fa5eb235844003fc87b&p=2389842&postcount=9 I have not researched what is says about SCCA. I decided to run since BMW provides a chronograph built into my car's systems. I consider myself a reasonable person and as such...
