I have 4 E36 cars and none of them have fog lights. I never found them useful or durable. 3 of the cars have the commercial snap in plus. One I went the budget route. I used some leftover pieces of 3/4 inch thick white styrene lumber. You know - that fake pine they sell in the Depot and lumber yard....

I have had lots of compliments on my little gray 1600 vintage autocrosser. I stumbled on this ad on Craigslist. I haven't seen it and have no affiliation but it looks like it might be a good starting point for a autocross or track car.
