Title: SPR School/ITS   Category: Driver's School
Start Date: 05/17/2010   End Date: 05/18/2010
Registration for this event is open. Click here to register.
Description: Description: Summit Point Raceway Driver School
Date: May 17-18 (Mon-Tues)
Event: Driver School – Instructor Training School
Cost: $370
Event Chair: Jeff White
Registrar: Jamie Kavalieros
Student Registration close: May 10

The Advanced Driver School/ Instructor Training School is an opportunity for students with previous track experience to sharpen their skills in a school that provides extended run groups. Because this School shares track time with our nationally-recognized Instructor Training School, the number of student groups is limited to two (Intermediate and Advanced, no First Time nor Beginner Students will be accepted) and all students must be approved by the Chief Instructor and Event Chair prior to acceptance. Summit Point Raceway is a perennial favorite as it is a high-speed track that provides students the opportunity to approach turns from different driving lines and find the one that fits their car. Summit was repaved in the Fall of 2007 (and repaired in 2008 and 2009) and now has a smooth surface free of concrete patches. This school gives experienced drivers the ability to learn the track all over again.

For Driver School Participants: Note that your driving history will be confirmed; if you have experience with organizations other than the NJ Chapter and you did not participate in this event in the past, please be certain to enter your previous Driving History in your Profile section.

Instructor Training School- attendance by invitation only.

Chief Instructor: Barry Stevens
Registrar: Jamie Kavalieros

Participation in the Instructor Training School is by invitation only. If you have been invited, you can register online by clicking the link above. Your acceptance will be subject to approval by the Event Chair and Chief Instructor. If you believe that you are a candidate for the ITS and have not been invited, please e-mail the Chief Instructor. If you are registering as an ITS candidate, please state that in the Notes field of the Registration page.

Please update your non-NJ Chapter Driving History in your Profile!

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
• NJ BMW CCA does not accept open-top vehicles, convertibles of any kind (soft or hard top) nor SUV/SAVs for on-track events.
• ALL AFTER-MARKET GLASS TINTING MUST BE PRE-APPROVED BY THE CHIEF OF TECH. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN A FAILED TECH INSPECTION AND FORFEITURE OF THE REGISTRATION FEE
