Our annual June Club Race/Driver School to benefit the Westlake School will again be held at our home track at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ. The event will be held on Thunderbolt Raceway, which is a 14 turn, 2.25 mile road course designed by the owners of VIR with help from the legendary Carroll Shelby. Since 2008 a number of professional racing series have held events at Thunderbolt Raceway. In 2010, professional series including Grand-Am Rolex, ARCA, Formula Atlantic and AMA Pro Superbike will use Thunderbolt. This is a perfect spectator event given the proximity of the track to the majority of our members, the excitement of Club Racing and the joy of the kids from the Westlake School who come as our guests. Take a personal day and come out to the track!

This event is the first of two events we are co-marketing with the DelVal Chapter this year. Both are combined Club Race/Driver Schools and both will be held at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The second event will be a 3-day weekend event in August at the Lightning Circuit. NJ Chapter will manage registration for the Thunderbolt event while DelVal will be responsible for the August event.

We anticipate a full school for this event based on our success last year. However, because this is a 2-day event, we will only have two student run groups. It is likely that one of the groups will be for Advanced students with the second group being Beginner/ Intermediate. The final determination of how to allocate students between the groups will be made by mid-MAY based upon both registrations and payments received. To accommodate the maximum number of students possible, there may be a greater range of driving skills than usual in each group. If you send a payment and we cannot accommodate you, you will receive a full refund (i.e., a cancellation fee will not be assessed). As always, acceptance preference is based upon the date your payment is received by the registrar. REGISTER EARLY TO SECURE YOUR PLACE IN THE SCHOOL! We will have a Monday evening banquet following on the well-received banquet held last year and in keeping with our tradition of a track-side dinner at summer schools.

Please update your non-NJ Chapter Driving History in your Profile!

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
• NJ BMW CCA does not accept open-top vehicles, convertibles of any kind (soft or hard top) nor SUV/SAVs for on-track events.
• ALL AFTER-MARKET GLASS TINTING MUST BE PRE-APPROVED BY THE CHIEF OF TECH. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN A FAILED TECH INSPECTION AND FORFEITURE OF THE REGISTRATION FEE

REGISTER ONLINE! What's this?

Our 2010 season marks our fourth year using a paperless driver school registration process. Students and instructors can register for our driver schools through this website only. WE ACCEPT CREDIT/DEBIT CARD PAYMENTS FOR REGISTRATION FEES THROUGH GOOGLE CHECKOUT! Eliminate the hassle of mailing a check and worrying when it arrives, simply complete the payment information and mark your calendar. Whether you pay electronically or by check, please be aware of our Cancellation Policy.

To register, click the "Register" link above. When the registration page opens:
• Fill in the boxes relating to the event
• Click on the box to confirm your Personal Information and that you have read and accept the Cancellation Policy
• Click on the “Register” button

You will be sent a confirming email that details the registration information. If you have any trouble with this process, click HERE for instructions.

If you elect to pay by check, print two copies of the confirming email -one for your records, and one to mail with your check payment. Mail the email confirmation, proof of current BMW CCA membership (either a copy of your membership card or a Roundel address label) and your check payment to the event Registrar for that School.

Regardless of your payment method, you will receive a confirmatory acceptance email from the Registrar for EACH school. You must open this email and click the link contained therein to acknowledge that you have received your acceptance. You will also be provided pdf files of: (1) an Acceptance Letter that contains important information specific to that school such as the time the track opens, when Tech Inspection begins, etc. The letter will also contain a link to this website to a copy of the Liability Waiver that every attendee will be required to sign; (2) the Tech Inspection checklist; (3) the Emergency Medical Information form and (4) the New Student pack (if applicable). These documents are also available in the "Forms" section of Downloads at left.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Cancellations will be accepted until two weeks prior to the start date of an event. Any cancellation received on or prior to the respective cancellation date will be charged a $25.00 handling fee. Any cancellation request following the cancellation date is subject to forfeiture of the entire entry fee if the Registrar is unable to fill your slot. If your slot is filled, only the $25 handling fee will apply. If you are a “no show” at the event, no refund will be given. All cancellations must be communicated in writing via e-mail or letter through the Registrar. If NJ BMW CCA must cancel an event for any reason, registrants will be provided a full refund; however, NJ BMW CCA will not be liable for any charges or costs registrants may incur other than the registration fee. Refunds will be issued following the event.
