THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL YEAR - 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF NJ BMW CCA DRIVER SCHOOLS! Please come join us for our traditional Driver School event at our annual June Club Race/Driver School to benefit the Westlake School to be held at our home track at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ.  The event will be held on Thunderbolt Raceway, which is a 14 turn, 2.25 mile road course designed by the owners of VIR with help from the legendary Carroll Shelby. Since 2008 a number of professional racing series have held events at Thunderbolt Raceway.  This is a perfect spectator event given the proximity of the track to the majority of our members, the excitement of Club Racing and the joy of the kids from the Westlake School who come as our guests. Take a personal day and come out to the track! Driver School: We anticipate a full school for this event based on our success of past years.  To accommodate the maximum number of students possible, there may be a greater range of driving skills than usual in each group. If you send a payment and we cannot accommodate you, you will receive a full refund (i.e., a cancellation fee will not be assessed). As always, acceptance preference is based upon the date your payment is received by the registrar. REGISTER EARLY TO SECURE YOUR PLACE IN THE SCHOOL! 50th Anniversary Celebration: The NJ chapter was the first chapter in BMW CCA to hold a driver school starting in 1974. Scott and Fran Hughes started it all (and started Club Racing!) and will be joining us for this celebration. We will have a banquet Monday evening in the Officer's Club at Thunderbolt. Further details are still being planned but do not miss this special event.
Our first Tire Rack Street Survival school of the year will be held on Sunday, June 9th from 8:30 - 4:00 at Campgaw Ski Area in Mahwah.  Designed for drivers age 16-21, the school is open to anyone with a valid permit or license.  It makes young drivers better drivers by a combination of classroom and behind the wheel simulations of emergency situations.  Students are encouraged to use the car they normally drive.  For more information or to register, go to www.streetsurvival.org Registration will open on Friday, April 12th. Space is limited and the schools fill up quickly, so don’t delay!

About Us

The New Jersey Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America was established in 1970 and today has of over 3,000 members in New Jersey and the surrounding area. Our purpose is to provide services and organize events that benefit and interest our members. Our goal is to help you get the most enjoyment and satisfaction from BMW ownership, and to create a community where members can share their enthusiasm for these terrific cars.

The Chapter holds a monthly meeting for members that often consist of technical presentations and demonstrations. Our social events are well know as fun, family affairs and offer a great opportunity for members and their families to meet and mingle.

Since we are a car club, we place a lot of emphasis on the safe, proper operation of the automobile. We offer several “behind-the-wheel” activities in a learning environment that are designed to improve your driving skills. These consist of our Street Survival program for teens, Autocross events and our highly regarded Driver School program.

Since this is a BMW car club, we also organize competitive events that explore the limits of these awesome cars. We hold regular timed Autocross events and sponsor several Club Races throughout the season.

If you, like most car nuts, can’t resist modifying, improving and maintaining your prized BMW’s, the club has a terrific collection of resources for you. The scope and depth of knowledge among our membership almost guarantees that you’ll find an expert who will gladly offer advice on any detail, and the club maintains a technical library and toolbox for your use.

This club exists for you, the membership, and is run by active members. What we do as a club is determined by you so, if you would like to see other activities, or additional services offered, please bring these suggestions forward.

So, join the club, come to a meeting, and meet your fellow members. We are sure that you will make new friends who share your interests – and passion – for these great cars!
