Hello, all. I hope by now everyone is done shoveling and has electricity at home. After a rough week, I definitely want to get out and have some FUN, and I hope you're feeling this way as well...

I have some updates for all of you regarding the Winter Social. Despite the recent weather, our banquet still is going to happen on Saturday from 4 to 8 PM as planned. I've been in contact with the venue and the caterer throughout the week, and we're good to go. I also picked up the wine today, and I'm very happy to inform you that we will have a great selection. Thanks to Joe at 56 Degree Wine in Bernardsville, we will have 4 different wines to accompany our charcuterie and hors d'oeuvres (3 red and 1 white).

Also, BMW NA has confirmed they are able to bring a very special car for display, which I'm sure everyone will be quite interested to see in person. I'm hoping that some chapter members still can bring a few collector cars as well (although I do understand that roads may not improve much in the next ~ 24 hrs).

As for logistics, I'd like inform all of you regarding the following for parking:
1. If the parking lot is full when you arrive, overflow parking has been arranged for us at Beacon Hill Country Club, which is right across the street. However, while walking over to the Arboretum please be careful of remaining snow on the ground!
2. In addition, we have permission to park on Hobart Ave as well. If bringing a guest, be sure to drop them off at the Arboretum before parking on the street.

That's it for now, I really hope those of you who were planning to attend still will come out for what I'm hoping will be a great event.

Good morning. Today I was informed that the website for the Arboretum indicates the venue is closed:
"Due to unsafe conditions caused by the snowstorm, the Arboretum Grounds and Buildings are closed until further notice. Discovery Saturdays on March 10 is cancelled."

I'd just like to dispel any confusion, this notice is for all public activities and I have been assured there will be no impact on our private event this evening.
