Solo II school?

Post by bheer »

Howdy all... long time member and lurker... first time posting.

Back in my misspent youth, the SCCA club I belonged to in Poughkeepsie, NY ran an autocross school once a year. It was great, and my first experience "racing."

I wonder whether we have ever considered an autocross school?

Hi bheer,
Funny you should mention this. We ran autocross schools every year back around 2005-2010. We stopped because the parking lot cost, EMT cost and insurance made difficult to run. We just talked about it at the Board Meeting this week.
We do a special Driver School at the track every year for new never been students. Let me know if you have any interest in participating at autocross or a drive school and I will put you in contact with someone.

Hi Bheer,

Adding to what Jamie said, although we haven't had an autocross school in quite a while, we have autocross instructors at every autocross event who are happy to ride with you, help you find your way around the cones, and help you go faster. Our next autocross is 6/11 at the TD Bank Ballpark.
