Oct 19 Autocross

Post by drautox »

Come on out for our last autocross of the season.
Course map can be found at:
http://customwoodshiftknobs.com/Blue%20 ... 19-14.html
This should be about 45 sec, plus we should be able to get extra runs

I'm interested in your Oct 19th autocross at Patriots but am not a BMW club member (or owner) and its very late in the season to join. Can I still participate in this event? Thanks

amxman,

You are welcome to run as a non-member, but also consider that BMW CCA membership runs a full calendar year, so joining now will cover you for the next full season!

Hi, I have never autocrossed before, do you offer first time assistance?
I also misplaced my membership card but do know my member number.
Is that sufficient?
I generally do drivers ed, and track days.

Come on out - we assign instructors to new participants to help learn the course and get comfortable.

If you've done DE's, you will take to autoX like duck to water!

Not a worry about membership card. Just fill out reg for with info on your car and membership # (can look up at bmwcca.org).

Good times! Chilly in the morning but just right by the afternoon. I really liked this course layout - definitely one of my favorites. This was a fun end to the season. Looking forward to 2015!

My quickest lap was my last one - 38.8 and no cones!

See you folks next year!

0.170 second. It was so windy that I could have found 0.170s by timing my starts to catch a favorable gust. The best thing I can say about 0.170s is that it's not 0.025s.

Despite not being able to get my head into my driving and put up any kind of consistent times, it was definitely a fun day to end the season!

I don't have the files yet, but here is a link to scans of the summary printouts:
http://customwoodshiftknobs.com/autox-r ... 19-14.html
Full data to follow.
What a great final event.....12 runs! I got to ride shotgun in an i3 from Morristown BMW.
Tremendous low-end torque, low center of gravity. Feels like a hundred guys are pushing it, because it is silent.
Good for the sound-sensitive neighbors at PNC.

That was such a fun course! I think the fastest section was right between the finish timing lights, lol.

We all owe a big debt to Mark Mallory for this fantastic course and all the effort he has put in all season.
This was a fun and fast course.
My fastest was 38.00 and it's here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWAyanq ... vlas_XHWBw
