June 13 autocross

Post by drautox »

Next autocross is June 13. A course map will be posted soon.
Remember to bring lunch and water; it will be warm, and the lunch wagon will be absent.
Champ series spreadsheet is posted; go see where you stand.
Lots of events and points to go; come on out and get some.

I think I'd like to come out and try autox for the first time. I went to watch at PNC a few years ago, but I'd like to drive this time. As a first timer, is there anything I need to consider or do to my car before showing up? Prep, etc? Or can I just show up and learn?

Don't worry about the car. Best thing to do is visit our autocross page, fill out the registration form and inspection/modification form (so you know how many points you have and what class you're in), and if you have a motorcycle helmet, bring that. And what do we charge now? $40 for CCA members? Something like that.

Oh hell no. Why does everybody confuse me with that jerk? He got kicked out last year for stealing autocross cones to use in his home meth lab. Don't ask me what they're good for. That dude was shady. How do you know him? You must have been one of his customers.

I too was thinking to return to Autocrossing.
I haven't done one since way back on April 18th 2010. It seems like a lifetime ago.

Now for the IMPORTANT stuff.

SNACK TALK!

I am planning to bring 3 packages of Nature Valley crunchy oat and honey granola bars. and perhaps 2 mocha frappachinos in the bottle that they sell in Costco.

How about you guys!

After a freakish and rare first place in E class last time, I'm bringing the trusty 325ti and planning to get my butt whooped by the rough crowd they call D class.
Have any of you tried the testicular enhancement formulas the sell in the back pages of Car and Driver? I might need it!

Smack talk?

Oh no snack talk...yummmm.

I'll probably bring a nice cheese sandwich. 8)

Lots of drinks too!!

Is there normally a place to leave our items where they wont be stolen? Cooler, tools, ect?

I keep all my stuff in a big tupperware box with a "Open Other Side" label on both sides. E30 guys just keep walking around the box for a few minutes before moving on.

Hmm...good idea. I can put my box next to yours. I'll grab some biohazard stickers for mine...

I should be there-- but my ti's out of commission unfortunately. I'll be driving my Dad's Z3M though, so it should be alright.
