Nov 1 Autocross Smack Talk Thread.

Man, it must be the end of the season when it's only 4 days out and still no smack talk. So where are the two race cars going to be on Sunday? Terrorizing C or D class? Go D!

Debating whether to bring the 97 M3 or something absurd, seeing it's the last autocross of the season.

Flip the R-comps? I have heard that the RA1 could be run backwards in the dry... is that not the case with the R888?

Folks run directional street tires like RE-01R backwards all the time.

I ran them backwards at Lightning. Now if I can bolt the face of the wheels to the car then I'm ok as is. But all outside shoulders are toast. Insides are fine. Therefore flipping (not rotating) is required. Silly non track driving 'otter driver. Yeah, you heard me.

Well excuse me Mr. Track Ho. You should just dial in 8 degrees of camber... that should keep you off the outside edge. Problem solved.

Your braking distances will be as long as Dave's, but its worth it.

If I'm one of the race cars, I won't be there this sunday.

Jeff - I can leave the car outside in my driveway this weekend if you want to fill in. Let me know by tomorrow night. Haha.

Predictions

1. Ivan will wear a baseball cap sideways and install a can muffler on car.
2. Doug will win F Class because of the allseason tires he has.
3. Mike will post a better time than me and complain no one else is in A.
4. R comps will be useless in the cold and rain.
5. Jon will eat all the snack trailer profits.
