Looking for High Quality BMW Detailers in North NJ Area

Post by E36Ron »

Sadly, Beverly Hills Auto Resort (945,000 hits on Google) of Basking Ridge, one of the longest running, best auto detailers in NJ, has closed after 28 years.

Those of us who had them detail our cars are bereft. Great, high quality work, at a reasonable price. I would travel from Montclair / West Orange to Basking Ridge to have them detail my hardtop convertible.

Where to go now?

Super, multi-pass bodywork, light engine detail, and rain repellent on the windshield, to make the car look new.

Anyone got any recommendations, up my way?

Regards,

Not exactly in your area, but I've had great results with Greg Gellas @ Signature Detailing (http://signaturedetailing.com). He's located in Hillsborough. Greg was able to remove some nasty swirls and holograms installed by the "detailers" at the dealership I bought my car from.

Also not exactly in your area, but among the best in NNJ (Norwood, NJ). You could try to give a call to Phil at Detailers Domain. https://www.detailersdomain.com/ He's worked on many of my cars as well as clear filmed a few too. He does an amazing job.

That's too bad about Beverly Hills Auto. I thought they were doing fine.

Check out All in the Details in Morristown NJ. http://www.allinthedetailsnj.com/ They used to a sponsor of our local chapter. The guys name is Chris but I'm not sure if he's still there or not. I know a few members have used them in the past including myself.

Thanks, I will call them. They are right next to Shade Tree Garage, as I recall, and I did visit their shop once, maybe as part of a Club meeting.

However, they look like they are most interested in selling you clear plastic protections, etc, versus a straight, volume production detailing operation.

However, it may well be that volume production detailing is not a viable standalone business without some other big ticket add-ons to make up the revenue. Or else they are insanely expensive.

I'm looking for somebody who will do several passes on the exterior, ending up with the best products for long term survival of the body paint, refreshment and feeding of the leather interior, a light upper detail of the engine compartment, application of standard BMW treatment for the soft top, and refreshment of the windshield rain repellent, all for something in the $300-$400 range.

Does that kind of service still exist?

Thanks for any further advice,

Franki does excellent work and comes to your house.

I've used him many times with great success. He just winterized my 328d Wagon & X5

Anthony Torlish detailed my Lotus and put a nano-ceramic coating on it. Fantastic work. http://distinctive-detailing-nj.com/

He also was a member of the team that detailed the original Air Force One:

Looks like the OP got his answer but I'll add another mention for Detailers Domain in Norwood. Phil and Kevin are very knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service. Very satisfied with their service!
