FS E30 Roll Cage and Rear Strut Brace

Post by mopar71rt »

I'm going racing (hopefully) and upgrading to a full welded roll cage for the car. I'm selling my Autopower 6 point bolt in cage, also the Mason rear strut brace. The cage has served me well and fortunately never had an accident, better to have and not need, than need and not have.

The cage is Autopower #83900 1.50dia x .120dom steel and fits BMW 84-91 318, 325. Asking $650 (new is $889) Comes with all the hardware and spacers they never tell you have to fabricate.

The rear strut brace is Mason (was sold thru Vorshlag) and really ties in the towers with its three sides and gussets, not not just one pad on the top. Asking $200 (new is $250)

OR

Sold together at a combined discount price of $799

I'll deliver the cage (and strut brace if bought together) to an approx 50 mile radius from Washington Township (Bergen county). Anything beyond would need to be negotiated.

PM me to discuss details

I hope I'll be in the same class as you. Are you keeping it yellow?

An Autopower cage is easily made 24 Hours of LeMons legal by adding a 2nd door bar and fully welding all the joints. This cage is an easy way to turn your E30 into a super cheaty LeMons E30.

EDIT: I forgot to mention installing 1/8" thick spreader plates, 24 sq in min., under each mounting point.

Be sure to check helmet to cage height (broomstick test, 2" minimum) and driver egress before showing up at an event.
