I used this in my 2001 m3 and it worked great. The system integrates the Sony-Ericsson hands free kit to the cars OEM radio.
The BMW integrated hands-free kit connects to the vehicle's factory pre-wired telephone connectors and allows integration of Sony Ericsson phones (Models tested: t39, t68i, p800, p900, t700, t610, t616, t637, z600)
Calls can be initiated or answered via the vehicle's existinig steering controls. When a call comes in, the caller ID is displayed on the radio display. An incoming or outgoing call will mute the car's radio or pause a CD until the call is terminated. The same display area is used to scroll through your phone's contact list before initiating a call.
Voice activation (if your phone supports this function) will be possible with some Sony Ericsson phones.
