2003 Ferrari 360 Modena Coupe Gated-6 Grigio Titanio/Nero 35K miles NJ

$89,000.

2003 360 Modena Coupe Gated-6 Speed
Grigio Titanio Exterior.
Nero Interior.
Manual standard seats.
Nero leather headliner.
Challenge grills front and rear.
Shields.
Red calipers.
Clear bra front.
Personalized logo plate on center console.
Floor mats and frunk mat.
OEM Radio with CD Player.
Includes all tools, OEM trickle charger, books, car cover, red and black remotes, 2-keys.

I am the third owner of this vehicle. It was an excellent entry into the brand for me and I am ready for the next step in the Ferrari world so it is time to sell. The car has been tracked 5 times by me and has been consistently street driven (except in winter) to keep things in good running condition. Service done by Classic Coach for previous owner and myself; all paid for with an open check book.

Clean Autocheck and I have almost all records (missing a few from the first few years), recent major service, most stickies removed (upper defrost vents and glove box latch left to do). Everything mechanical, electrical and hydraulic is correct with this car, some cosmetic items not perfect (i.e., driver bolster, front bumper clear wrap dings) but all else is well and fully operational. Car is whole and ready for the next owner to drive worry free for the next few years. This is a “driver’s” car and should be used the way owner 2 and myself did, we both took care of the vehicle and drove the car for enjoyment. Remember, no one owns a Ferrari; it is only cared for until the next curator arrives. Please view the car in NJ, and in person, weekends only. PPI OK at your expense or simply call Classic Coach in Elizabeth, NJ (they know me and the car, ask for Carlos).

The Good
Motor has consistent compression readings.
All mechanicals OK.
Car always starts and runs well.
Paint in excellent condition less a few chips.
Interior in excellent condition less driver outside bolster.
Upper dash leather perfect.
Heat and A/C run well like a modern day car.
Operating temps never waiver even on the hottest summer days.
2 Year old Bridgestone RE-11 Tires half used.
I figured out how to use the radio and store presets, happy to help next owner do the same.
Replaced reverse shift bushing with metal version.
Clock updated to read 12 hr.
New clutch & timing belt 2015.
New battery 2017.
Brakes and rotors new 2018.
Fluids recently flushed 2018.
New spark plugs and coils 2018.

The Bad
This is not a concourse vehicle, it’s a “driver”.
Paint chips various locations, nothing larger than a pin head.
Small scratch above passenger tail light, about an inch long, not down to metal.
Wheels not perfect, no curb rash – just scratches.
Shift knob scratched, probably from rings on driver’s right hand.
Driver outside bolster showing wear.
Glove box latch not 100%.
Engine compartment not detailed.
Small valve cover weep – no loss of oil or collection on undertray.
Driver’s key paint worn.
Flashlight sealed with batteries inside & lens broken.
Front bumper clear bra shows dings.

The Ugly
I do not have any records for the first few years of ownership.
When car was purchased by me it had 20” Foregline wheels that were too big and rubbed on inside of front fenders, I have since installed OEM “Starfish” wheels but the damage is done.
Driver and Passenger rocker panels leading edge (about 1”) worn through paint, glass showing.
Front bumper underside, black section, scrapped.
I have always left wear & tear alone rather than cover it up (I know it’s there and you know it’s there).

Perhaps I am being too critical of the car but full disclosure now will assure the new owner will know what they are buying today. My level of detail will also help you from being disappointed the way I was when I started scouring the internet and making trips to view vehicles that were not accurately represented by the seller. I am happy to sell this vehicle to anyone anywhere for US Dollars, shipping and handling not included. Service records and full photos including underside with aero panels removed available after phone contact.

No trades.
Non-Exclusive Brokers welcome.
I am over 50 and not able to navigate our forums the way most do today.
Best to reach me via my land line 973-376-2285 any day 9:00 AM-9:00 PM EST.

Thank you for looking - Doug

Price adjustment $84,000.

All service up to date.
Belt service completed this week by Classic Coach in Elizabeth, NJ.
While they had the car for the week both compression and leak down tests revealed motor is in excellent condition.

This car is ready and able to be driven for the next three years with only annual fluid changes.
A great opportunity for you to buy your first Ferrari at a reasonable price, enjoy driving it, and not worry about anything breaking.
Vehicle has been maintained with an open check book so you can be assured everything is OK.

Please call my land line 973-376-2285 if you would like to ask me specific questions or look at the car in person.
Thank you.

Howdy Doug....not sure where else you might have this listed, but have you considered bringatrailer.com? With the info you have provided, this would be a good candidate, and they do allow you to set a reserve. Looks like a great car......good luck with the sale! Mac

I attended a recent car event and was provided a copy of the Hagerty Price Guide 36, May - August 2018.
Scanning through the book I noticed they define a Conditions Ratings system.
Based on this objective information I would like to re-categorize the condition of my 2003 360 Modena Gated 6-Speed for sale.
The vehicle falls into category #3 and is in "Good" condition.

Here is a photo of the Condition Ratings description.

Thanks for the guidance.

I did reach out to and attempt to list with BAT. They insisted on the dollar amount for the reserve which did not coincide with my number so I told them I would pass on listing with them. Then about two weeks later they came back to me agreeing with my number and wanted to list my car. At that point I made the decision not to list with them and use other listing services.
