e32 instrument cluster
Recently my speedometer needle has gone dim at night when the lights are on. It is a little bit hard to see where it is on the dial. I hope this is not too expensive of a fix. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: e32 instrument cluster
Well, if it's anything like an E30 cluster, it could be as simple as replacing a bulb. In my case it was board that went bad, not the bulb.shootupbuddie101 wrote:Recently my speedometer needle has gone dim at night when the lights are on. Cluster removal looks fairly easy and comparable to an E30:shootupbuddie101 wrote:How hard is the bulb to replace?

You just need to find out what bulbs went out...
Yes mmarv, your right ,it is much easier..the link is pretty good except your car most likely a US model with airbag..be sure to disconnect battery(under rear seat),and you'll need a T30 torx driver to remove airbag..just becareful with the wires and connector, they get can get brittle over the years..
while your in there (as mmarv's link shows) , I suggest to replace all the bulbs..this will keep the light intensity even across the cluster and save you a hassle to have to go back in there anytime soon for additional blown bulbs
