Can anyone recommend a shop to repair the radio in my '90
325i? It "screeches", usually on rainy days. I'd like to keep
the original radio, not change it. Thanks,
Ray

You should be able to find a working used E30 radio for way less ($50-ish) then it would cost to repair your old one.
Call your favorite junk yards, or check eBay:

You can fix it by using DEOXIT.. Available at radio shack, etc. Open cover and clean the crap out of the switchs and knobs. It will work wonders. Has not failed me once doing this to several cars. - Tim

Re: E30 Radio repair?
Thanks,Tim, I'll try that first.
Alex, I checked Ebay: E30 radios are $380. plus shipping, from Bulgaria!
I don't trust junkyard radios, so I'll keep looking.
Mark: Thanks for your offer, but I don't want to invest in a radio even older
than mine. I'll try a self repair, or buy a cheap new one, until I can find a
good repair shop. Thanks again to you all.
