Which shop would you pick for the shock/strut job?

Post by mybimmer »

My 528 front shock is leaking, and need to be replaced. I am wondering if I should go to dealer for the work, or if it's safe to use some independent shop to do the work.
Can someone please provide some advice? Thanks a lot!

Depending how far you want to drive, if you go 30 minutes south you could give Bill at Bimmerclinic a call:

Bimmer Clinic LLC
704 Trumbull Street
Elizabeth, NJ 07202
732-218-7632

Bill has replaced my suspension a couple times along with numerous other issues that have popped up with my car.

Rennsport Motor Works in Hackensack is quite close to you. NJ Chapter driver-school instructor Sal Puleio has been caring for our members' cars for more than 25 years. 201 489 5577

Sal also participates when we have our "Panel of Experts" monthly meeting.

Give a call to Haven Motors in Ridgewood.(201) 444-9816 Joe is great to work with and Craig is an ex-BMW tech. I've never had a problem with them.
