Anyone tell me how/where to find the paint code for my '03 530I? Also, I want to try Dr. Colorchip on a small "ding", any experience?

should be on the underside of your hood. I just got that stuff too, I hope it works well!

Thanx for the reply Jeff. Unfortunately, nothing under the hood. Local bodyshop says it's contained in the Serial #.

It's not in the VIN to the best of my knowledge. It is on a plaque that should be on one of the shock towers - driver's side IIRC.

I have used this product and it worked well on chips (ie, small)!

Finally got it! The paint code for the '03 530 is contained in the last (7) seven digits of the serial #.
