Toyo Proxes RR?

Post by gfield »

Has anyone used the new Toyo Proxes RR yet for the track? I currently use the BFG R1 and it works very well but they are getting to be cost prohibitive. The Toyo Proxes RR is $50 less per tire and seems similar. Please let me know.

Raced with them for two seasons. Good tire. Good life, but not as good as the R1. The RR really falls off after about 15 cycles. Grip levels are similar, with the R1 a tad better in my opinion. RR's suck out of the box too. Fastest around the third or fourth cycle, whereas R1s are unreal when stickers.
