Re: Insurance for Autocross?

Dan, Since autocross is timed, it is considered racing and therefore outside many HPDE-type insurance policies. Beyond that, the cost of a one-day track event policy is quite high compared to the cost of the auto-x itself. You might try contacting someone at SCCA (or consulting their various website...

Petition to stop EPA proposal to limit track car conversions

Please note that this post is my personal opinion/request and does not reflect a position taken by the Board or any committee of the chapter. I am sure that we all support clean air and water. No one wants children poisoned from drinking water whether it is in Flint or along the Colorado river. No o...

Re: Registration open for all 2016 driving events

It is correct that Snell2005 or newer helmets are acceptable. We, and most other organizations, allow a 1-year grace period after the new certifications come out. There is generally a delay from the helmet manufacturers before the new spec helmets are available in all sizes and styles.

Best job in the world

Being a reviewer for the Evo Car of the Year. Phenomenal cars, spectacular scenery and roads. Sadly no Roundels in this year's line-up. Enjoy.

2016 Track dates

Drivers, Instructors and Racers, Our 2016 track calendar is now confirmed. Re: O'fest photos, for the non-Facebook crowd

Jon, Thanks for posting. I am among those who do not have a Facebook account and it's great to see parts of Ofest that I was not able to attend. The background views at the autocross were amazing and certainly unique for any Ofest. I hope there were some photos from the track events because our usua...

Re: O'fest prices going up Monday, August 31

If you are coming down to NJMP on Saturday to spectate at the races and the driving schools, you do NOT need to register. This is just like any of our other events. When you arrive at NJMP just tell them you want to attend as a visitor. You will be asked to sign both the track and club waivers, you ...
