I have a 2000 X5 produced in March of 2000. My vehicle has navigation and a cell phone and I would like to install the BMW voice module. Unfortunately, I do not have the Blue Connector as part of the wiring harness that is needed to use the factory voice recognition module. However, I have read that...

Thanks Ricardo for your reply. I have thought about using bluetooth but only after all else has failed. I say this because my vehicle already has the BMW cell phone kit installed and I had been using the system until recently when my timeport was stollen. I have since found another one (BMW for Spri...

I am looking to pick-up another BMW Cpt 8000/p8767 cell phone for my vehicle. Is there a way to verify the cell phone has the BMW software in the phone before purchasing it? If so and you still have problems with communication with the vehicle then were do you bring the phone to be re-flashed or pro...

Looking to purchase the X5 - Need opinions about them

I am looking to purchase a good 2000-2002 X5. I currently have a 325IC with the M sport package and a Acura RL. I would like to add to the stable an SUV and have considered the Acura MDX, ML55 and the X5. I am leaning toward the X5 with the 4.4L, sport pkg, climate pkg..etc.. I would appreciate any ...

update on my earlier engine problem..... After checking out all the suggested areas I narrowed down the problem to be originating with the fuel pump. I do have another question... is there a way to check which fuel injector is leaking? I say this because I believe one of my injectors has a slight le...

Thanks Bob for your suggestions and I'll check those out. There was a couple of things I forgot to mention with my original issue and I now wonder if the following has any relevance to the problem. When driving at highway speed for sometime and then I stop for a very short time (under 10 minutes or ...

E30 Technical question... HELP

I have a 91 325IC E30 that hits a block at 5500 RPM. When I bring the engine up to aprox. 5500 rpm the rev limiter hold up the engine unless I play with the gas pedal and work my way past this range. It's doesn't appear to be a spark issue as the plugs, wires, rotor, cap and coil are all OK. Valves ...

Hi Dave, I agree with the others on tires are probably causing the noise. My girlfriend has a 2003 530i with the sport package and managed to get 30k out of the original Continentals. She actually should have changed them at 25k but like yourself couldn't believe they would wear out so fast. She swi...

New to the area and need some help.

Thanks Dave and Greg for your replies. What time are the monthly meetings and are they usually on the same day and time? Are there any meetings toward Monmouth and Ocean counties? I already spoke to Don Fields and good thing he gave me directions in the Air Park as I'd never would have found it. Tha...
