Re: Fund for a Hit & Run

Hello My friends! It's been a while since I've been on the CCA grid, but I guess that'll happen when you become a dad to a wonderful little baby girl! So, my friend had to drive to RI in the past couple days, parked his 330Ci ZHP at the hotel and someone hit it overnight. I started a fund to help g...

How old is it? On general principle, I'd have a pre-purchase inspection performed. On any used car, I recommend getting a engine oil and transmission fluid analysis from Blackstone Labs. M5s are known for excess oil consumption. If over 75,000mi. I would pay special attention to the thrust rod bushi...

Volvo S60R-300hp, New engine, Orange leather-$9900

For sale is a rare 2004 Volvo S60R (300bhp) with immaculate orange leather interior. Two years ago, at 111k. miles, the engine was completely rebuilt by a Master Volvo Technician who drove it as his personal car until he sold it to me at 117k. miles. The engine has a lifetime transferable warranty. ...

I go to Firestone. For $180, you get a lifetime alignment, come back as often as you want at any Firestone dealership for as long as you own the car. If you put some PB blaster on the tie rods and are diplomatic towards the person at the desk they'll adjust it to whatever you want. They're not going...

I've been tempted to get the Pilot Super Sports and then try to claim the warranty when the inevitably wear out after a season of HPDEs. In terms of extreme performance summer, the Dunlop ZII and the BfGoodrich Rivals are the big shots, the Hankooks aren't quite as good. According to Grassroots Moto...

In my experience I've found that during nirmal driving on dry roads, tires will run 40 degrees above the ambient temperature so if it is 30 degrees out, the tires will run a 70 degrees. Imagine driving in your tires cold on a 60 degree day and that is about how much grip you will have. However in th...

I'm not sure about the interval but at $500+ dollars for this you're being taken to the cleaners; that's absolutely ridiculous. I strongly suggest getting a second quote on this job, preferably from an independent repair shop or look into doing it yourself.

Send a sample to Blackstone labs (http://www.blackstone-labs.com/what-is-oil-analysis.php) for an oil analaysis when you think it needs to be changed and they can tell you if you should go longer between oil changes.

Yes, the closest I've found is DriveSafer (https://www.drivesafer.com/). It is very similair to the TRSS program but costs a heck of a lot more.
