wanted to buy for my E36 '97 318ti

I've just rebuilt the motor of my 318ti and putting it on the road as my "new" daily driver. In order to complete the resurrection of the car I need the suction silencer/filter cartridge(Realoem part#13711433696). ALL of the spring clips are gone and it won't close. Any one have a used one of these ...

Re: parts location

Thanks for the suggestion Warren. Seems I've figured it out the other day. While working to re-install the engine and the myriad of wires and hoses, I had to remove the intake manifold...again. And lo and behold the ping sensor bosses were visible. It was the rear one I couldn't find. And the forwar...

parts location

Hoping someone out there can help me out. I've got a '97 318ti that I've just rebuilt the motor on and I'm putting it back together. Problem is, the tape I used to ID some parts has come off after being outside for some time. Seems I can't re-locate the mounting places for two things. First, RealOem...

Re: want to buy

Thanks for the suggestions. I want to use the car as a daily driver. Since it doesn't run, I can't comment on the suspension, brakes, steering, etc. It's all there and looks pretty good for age and mileage. It's being sold by a third party so I don't know the maintenance history. I'm not afraid of a...

E30/E36 repair shops near Ridgewood NJ

I've used and had great success with Haven Motor Service on Goffle Road in Ridgewood. Joe is great to work with, honest and reasionable and Craig is an ex-BMW tech. They've helped me with the "heavy lifting" on my E46 and E39.

Craig at Haven Motors in Ridgewood, NJ( 201. 444.9816) would be a good guy to call. He was a BMW tech back then and knows the cars well. He helped me with an '84 533i a while back...similar situation.
