Though I swear I've seen a slightly higer number, this website says 3,153 pounds and 170 hp. I think it may be more like 174, though... But who's counting.

I see the writing on the wall. It spells out "buy R comps or place 8th every month". I do not believe R-compounds are required to be competitive in D. At least they were not last year. maybe not for a car with more power than a 323i... Just comparing my times last year with those of the D class lea...

Ok - I see the 8 point limit is where I'm at given that baseline. So, doing that math, I'm at the following: base - 45.2 exhaust - 3 intake - need a ruling, as its construction doesn't fall into either category front sway - 3 rear sway - 3 springs - 4 shocks - 3 front stress bar - 1 brakes - 4 wheel...

Ok... I need some coaching through determining aspect ratio percentage difference. Before we go into that, though, I need a ruling on the following circumstances: The car, stock, was a sport package. The original wheels it came with were the 16" "snowflake" rims, with 225/50 tires all around. I real...

Yippie! I'm still in C after all! (EDITED after a quick phone conference with Brent) Base - 45.2 (2000 323i, using Ed's no double jeopardy rule it's not a 'sport' intake - 3 exhaust - 3 front sway - 3 rear sway - 3 springs - 4 shocks - 3 front strut bar - 1 brakes - 4 17" wheels - 2 8" wheel width -...

I'm working on food and beverages for the event.

I should have some decent cigars for everyone, too.

No, Brent, not blunts.

I've modified my 323 to D class, unfortunately.

Brent, if you don't have breakfast the morning of the autocross, your in D class.

Though stripping corner workers would be a fantastic addition (it's already been suggested, btw), to the outside observer, this will just be another autocross event. As for jello shots, well, you can guess that alcohol would not help your times!

First Annual Alken Invitational

Ok, it may just be my dream to call it that, but I must thank the autox committee, especially Elihu, for so rapidly responding to my request. I'd aproached Elihu late last week with a question about hosting a private autox event. I am getting married in April, and I wanted to do something unusual an...

looking for E36 17" BMW Motorsport Split Spoke wheels

I'm putting together a winter wheel/tire setup and need 17" wheels. If you have a set of these laying around, please let me know. Condition is essentially inconsequential, so long as they are usable.

I'd like it to be known that I ran the last couple of events with a swaybar endlink detrimentally loose. It has since been corrected. I demand re-runs. I think next season can only get more competitive. I know I can easily find another second or so with some practice. BTW, I'll be shaving my beard a...

Seriously - what a great season, even if I didn't place.

Hopefully next season Larry and Brent will move up to D class so I don't have to work as hard.
