Re: FS: Bell M4 Track Helmet

Your helmet looks like it is in very nice condition, unfortunately having a Snell rating of 2010 it is unusable for any of the driving events the NJ Chapter holds.

Re: No Whack Your Turkey rally this year?

There has been no decision yet on whether to keep the earlier date for the Pick Your Pumpkin Rally or return to the Whack your Turkey rally before Thanksgiving, that is something next year's Board of Directors will have to decide on.

Re: No Whack Your Turkey rally this year?

Chris, Since we had a great success with the Scenic Drive in late October 2020, we had decided to move the Rally up this year and renamed it the Pick Your Pumpkin Rally, which ran on October 30th. We were able to take advantage of the Fall foliage while not having to stand around in a chilly parking...

Re: Mega-clag, replace tires?

Matthew, Most likely you picked up the excess clag that was left behind by the racers that use softer tires, something that doesn't happen as much with the normal Driver School cars. When I get that build up on my tires I use a heat gun and a scraper to clean them after removing them from the car. N...

Hi Tom,

At this time there are no plans to do the VDC tour. Although the schedule can change, I don't foresee us doing the tour until next year. Thank you for your patience.

Re: WTB: E92 Hood (Pre-LCI)

Hi Allison, I saw your post about the long range issues, I am approaching 198,000 miles. I only put on about 10,000 miles since buying it 2 years ago, I didn't take any road trips with it this past year for obvious reasons. The car is holding up well although I seem to have some electronic gremlins ...

Hi Allison,

What happened to your hood? I'm sure you've tried craigslist, there are also some auto dismantlers that advertise in the Roundel.

Re: Tow vehicle advice

Mathew, It was advised to me when I looking for a tow vehicle to get something at least as big weight wise as what I was towing. I ended up with a Ford Super Duty crew cab. It weighed about 6,600 lbs empty. I was using a steel trailer and towing my E30, I'm guessing about 4,500-5,000 lbs with stuff ...

Re: 1952 Farmall Cub tractor

Paul,

That is a great tractor, we had 2 of them in my youth, a 49 and a 55. You seem to be priced about right. If you have time, there is a Tractor Club website you can go to, www.daysofthepast.com. where you can probably list it. They are located in Washington's Crossing NJ.
